When the pitt-resistance of chrome-nickel austenitic stainless steel (PREN=[Cr]+3.3[Mo]+16[N]) is greater than 40%, it can be called super austenitic stainless steel. The super-austenitic stainless steel is mainly developed for the solution of the deficiency of the original high molybdenum (>. 4%) chrome-nickel austenitic stainless steel, such as pitting corrosion resistance, crevice corrosion resistance and tissue thermal stability under the harsh corrosion conditions of Cl- containing corrosion.
